Physical Education
At Bridge House Independent School, our aim is to ensure all children enjoy and are engaged in Physical Education and Sport. Our PE curriculum inspires all children to participate in physical activity inside and outside of school and lead healthy lifestyles as they move into adulthood. Developing a sense of cohesion and teamwork will encourage increased communication skills as well as enhancing listening skills and the ability to follow instructions and safely use sporting equipment.
Physical education encourages core values of courage, commitment and resilience when competing in sports. It develops the children’s knowledge, skills and understanding, so that they can perform with increasing confidence and competence in a range of physical activities. Through coaching and officiating opportunities, our children will not only participant in sports but will develop their leadership skills. We aim to ensure that the children’s experience of Physical Education is positive and motivating and that children’s attitudes to a healthy lifestyle are firmly embedded in our curriculum.
